the XA FALCON GTHO SUPERCAR Era
was a Political bomb in June 1972 which led to the axing of arguably the best sedan falcon GT ever built for maximum performance
and handling There was an ultimatum delivered to Ford and the other 2 major car manufacturers Chrysler and GM HOLDEN. It was
all bad news for Motor Sports enthusiasts and for Law enforcement the result was axing the Ford falcon GT HO PHASE 4 model
the falcon GT continued however for most it was detuned 6 months later December the 11th 1972 The press announced the Victoria
Police Mobile Traffic Section will form a special squad the HUME HIGHWAY(Patrol) GROUP and will purchase 8 XA Ford falcon
GT HO SUPERCARS with modified engines.to be continued...
